Product Highlights The DS851LR4 is the largest professional ultra-high brightness LCD offering from DynaScan, measuring 85-inches diagonally. The display features 4K UHD resolution with a high brightness LED backlight producing a 3,500 nit sunlight-viewable image. Designed for large scale display applications in bright environments such as outdoor enclosures and storefront windows, each screen is individually color calibrated to the D65 color standard to ensure uniformity among multiple displays. Color Temperature and Quality The DS851LR4 comes equipped to display both D55 (5500 K) and D65 (6500 K) CIE color standards right out of the box – a feature lacking from many of the large format commercial LCDs currently on the market. As many displays have a tendency to be rather cool or “bluish”, these color settings produce a very natural looking image which has a correlated color temperature to that of daylight. Auto Brightness Control Different external lighting conditions require different brightness levels. An onboard light sensor measures the ambient light in the area and automatically adjusts the image accordingly. Ultra HD 4K Resolution With Ultra HD 4K resolution, the DS851LR4 provides a super sharp image for easy to read text and incredible detail. High Brightness LED Backlit with Local Dimming The DS851LR4 utilizes a proprietary system of LED backlighting which is not only energy efficient it is also considerably bright. The display features a local dimming LED backlight technique for a remarkably high contrast picture. With direct local dimming, darker areas of an image receive less backlighting than lighter areas, as opposed to edge-lit LED backlights which illuminate an entire screen at all times causing blacks and dark areas to appear washed out. Blackening Defect Free Most residential and commercial screens will blacken or result in isotropic failure when the LCD panel overheats. The DS851LR4 is equipped with a high-temperature LCD panel capable of withstanding temperatures up to 110˚C (230°F) without blackening – crucial for direct sunlight applications.
